In Paris

Places Unknown

As I was taking this photo couple young girls approached me and asked to provide donation to some type organization. They had some pamphlets and a little paper log where they wanted to me to write my name. I offered to them one dollar, but they wanted at least 20, so I told them to get lost. Over the next 30 minutes or so I saw them bugging many other tourists around there. Anyhow, I arrived in Paris only a few hours ago and that is the only time I saw sun over the next few days, Paris can be a gloomy place, but not on this night.

TWO KINDS OF DISOBEDIENCE

Im ashamed to die until i have won some victory for humanity.(Horace Mann)

TWO KINDS OF DISOBEDIENCE
A Sermon by Rev. James P. Cooper
Cataloged May 4. 1997

“And the men of Israel were distressed that day, for Saul had placed the people under oath, saying, ‘Cursed is the man who eats any food until evening, before I have taken vengeance on my enemies.’ So none of the people tasted food. But Jonathan had not heard his father charge the people with the oath; therefore he stretched out the end of the rod that was in his hand and dipped it in a honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his eyes were opened” (Isaiah,14:24,27).

Today we are going to consider the story of two men, father and son; one is a king and the other a prince. Historically each is a brave and capable fighter, and each delighted in serving the Lord by fighting and killing the enemies of the…

Have You Ever Heard the Wind Cry Poem, by Evelyn Rodriguez

Have you ever heard the wind crying?
Have you?
Have you heard it howling through the trees
and its deepest roots?
Like this sad, solitary, and wounded
lonely wolf?

Have you ever heard the wind cry?
Have you ever heard the trees fall?

I have. Oh, yes, I have!
As a matter of fact
I just heard it for a short while.
I heard the wind mourning, moaning, and whispering, “EVE”
through the slits and opening
of my room’s windowsill.

I heard it howl in pain too…

Whenever I hear a child
or even a pet cry,
I feel deeply sad.

And more when I hear the cry
and lethargic dragging steps
of sad souls of mourning persons
in a funeral
as I walk to them and try
to at least to console them
and give them some comfort.

I don’t know why?!

But there is nothing I can do
to quiet and calm the cry of the trees.

It remind me of me;
a time like this,
many moons ago
when I would cry
and howl with no consolation,
with no one near to really care
or show
any consideration
or even being able to comfort
my lone soul
even if they wanted to.

So I remain quiet and nod alone
in understanding
and proceed with my writings
quietly at my desk
facing the green belt of trees,
and listening for the wind
as his cry fades somehow
and subsides all by itself.

Al alone!

What would you do
if it, the wind, comes to you
crying softly into your ears.
I did not questioned the wind.
I did not feared it.
I simply let it be…

And like a tornado took me over
and rolled the skies with me…

Have you felt it? Have you ever heard the wind?
I have heard it.
And I have cried with the wind.
I’ve cried with Gone with the Wind too…
I have heard the grass and the trees. I have come and gone with the wind.
And I too have cried with the wind.

The Wind Cries Mary

After all the jacks are in their boxes
And the clowns have all gone to bed
You can hear happiness
staggering on down the street
Footprints dressed in red
And the wind whispers Mary…

A broom is drearily sweeping
Up the broken pieces of yesterday’s life
Somewhere a queen is weeping
Somewhere a king has no wife
And the wind, it cries Mary

The traffic lights they turn up blue tomorrow
And shine their emptiness down on my bed
The tiny island sags downstream ‘Cause the life that lived is, is dead
And the wind screams Mary

Will the wind ever remember
The names it has blown in the past.
And with his crutch, it’s old age,
and it’s wisdom
It whispers no, this will be the last
And the wind cries Mary…

Is Women’s Freedom Rights Tainted by the Hobby Lobby Case?

According to CBS News, the Supreme Court on Monday ruled that the present President’s administration must exempt firms such as Hobby Lobby from a rule requiring large companies to help pay for their employees’ birth control.

The Hobby Lobby is a large company of over 50 employees who is own by religious menonites who do not agree in paying their female employees for birth control, so they sue the US. government.

CBSnews.com states, “Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc. and Conestoga Wood Specialties Corp. — two privately-held, for-profit companies — sued the United States government over a provision in the Affordable Care Act that requires companies with more than 50 employees to provide comprehensive health coverage (including contraception) or pay a fine.

Hobby Lobby’s owners, David and Barbara Green of Oklahoma, say they have strong objections based in their Christian faith to providing health care coverage for certain types of contraception. The Pennsylvania-based Hahn family, the Mennonite owners of Conestoga Wood Specialties, had the same complaint.

The Obama administration already exempted nonprofits with religious affiliations, such as Catholic universities, from the contraception coverage rule.”

So the Supreme Court ruled in their favor 5-4. And now their women employee will not received the same health coverage benefits and protections as their counterparts. Some call this rulling a crase discrimination against females.

Their religious freedom is affected here, because they alla freedom to chose whether they need contraceptive medicine or not, their employees should not chose for them. And don’t get me wrong this has nothing to do with prolife or anything like that, just with the fact that this rullins
excempt companies to pay insurance coverage for their employees contraceptios, but it does not says anything about not providing coverage for esterilizations in males or women.

And to me that is women discrimination and imposing their relegious believes on their employees, thing that the White House is somehow implying to Congress and to the Supreme Court that they wont let it happen.

KEEPING IMMIGRANT CHILDREN SAFE IN AMERICA CAUSE

How many of our ancestors had to ship their children to America in the past to prevent them to die of starvation? Sadly history repeats itself, so let’s do it again, let us rescue those children and for God’s sake let’s KEEPING IMMIGRANT CHILDREN SAFE IN AMERICA. The will die if we are not humane to them and give them shelter and protection. Counties, such as Washington Co. in Va. are passing motions, as we speak, to keep immigrants children to relocate to their counties and states, when we should be receiving them with humility, understanding, and love. We are a country who prides itself in “protecting the world from devastation and uniting all people with in our nation.” Help us help these children and eventually unite them with their parents, but safe, well fed, and out of danger. Please I beg you to touch your hear and your pockets and support our cause. I may use my children favorite motto here to lighten up the subject and see how stupid is being the bad guy when you can be the Hero!
Let’s stay in silence, put our head down and pray for these innocent victimized immigrant children and their siblings and families. Let’s make it a heartfelt brief prayer.
Now let’s put a fist in the air and promise make a difference in other human’s life. Let’s be the good version of my children’s anti-hero’s Team Rocket. Let’s be the Heroes! These children need us!!!
